Designing new features in a live product while refining the design system and overall experience.
Context
New features were needed for an existing product, alongside a request to refine the interface and design system in the same effort. Each feature carried system-wide implications, touching shared elements that ran throughout the product.
Approach
Feature design and system updates were worked out together, in close coordination with the in-house design and engineering teams. Changes were planned and handed over in controlled steps, each timed for value against the cost of reworking a live product.
